ICX7450-48 is the RUCKUS ICX 7450-48, a 48-port 1 GbE stackable switch with 48 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports and three modular slots for uplink and stacking modules. As ordered, power supplies, fans and modules are separate parts, so the switch needs at least one power supply (RPS15-E or RPS15-I, 250 W) and a fan (ICX-FAN10-E or ICX-FAN10-I) to run. The ICX7450-48-E bundle adds four 10 GbE SFP+ uplinks, two 40 GbE QSFP+ stacking ports, one 250 W AC supply and a front-to-back fan.
The three slots take ICX7400-4X1GF (4 x 1 GbE SFP), ICX7400-4X10GF (4 x 1/10 GbE SFP/SFP+), ICX7400-4X10GC (4 x 10GBASE-T), ICX7400-1X40GQ (1 x 40 GbE QSFP+) and the ICX7400-SERVICE-MOD IPsec VPN module. The 40 GbE module cannot go in the front-facing slot of the 48-port models, and the 4X1GF module cannot go in the rear slots. A 48-port unit supports at most two 40 GbE ports.
Switching capacity is 336 Gbps and forwarding capacity is 250 Mpps. The switch has 2 GB of DRAM, 2 GB of flash, an 8 MB packet buffer, 32,768 MAC addresses and 4,096 VLANs. Up to 12 switches stack at 960 Gbps. It weighs 6.5 kg with one AC supply, one fan, one 4 x 10 GbE module and two QSFP+ modules, and measures 440 x 393.7 x 43.7 mm in 1U.
