The ASR-9000V-AC is the Cisco ASR 9000v with AC power, a 44-port Gigabit Ethernet and 4-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet satellite for Cisco ASR 9000 Series nV systems. The spare number ASR-9000V-AC= belongs to the same unit. DC versions are ASR-9000V-DC-A for the ANSI chassis and ASR-9000V-DC-E for the ETSI chassis.
The ASR 9000v is deployed next to, or remote from, its ASR 9000 Series host and works as an extension of it. Features, provisioning, command-line interface, software maintenance and feature processing all come from the host running Cisco IOS XR, so the satellite is not deployed, configured or upgraded as an independent network element. It can connect to several redundant ASR 9000 hosts, and a DWDM system can sit in the link.
The unit is front-access and ultra-compact: 1.560 in. x 17.417 in. x 9.095 in. (3.96 cm x 44.24 cm x 23.10 cm) and 8.95 lb (4.06 kg) in the AC version. Nominal power is 159 W and maximum power is 210 W, from a 100 to 240 V AC input at 50 and 60 Hz. NEBS compliance covers GR-1089 Issue 5 and GR-63 Issue 3.
An ASR 9000v fan tray with filter is the ASR-9000V-FAN. The ASR 9000v-V2, ordered as A9KV-V2-AC, has the same 44 + 4 port layout with 120 W nominal and 170 W maximum power.
