IBM #ADSD is the 38.4 TB NVMe Flash Core Module for the IBM FlashSystem 7300, machine type 4657. The feature provides one NVMe FlashCore Module drive, and it is supported on models 924 and U7D only.
The minimum required is 0 and the maximum allowed is 24, with an initial order maximum of 24. Both counts work on the total quantity of all NVMe drive features, meaning features ADSx and ADTx together, so #ADSD shares its allowance with the other FlashCore Module and NVMe flash drive sizes.
The minimum also applies to the total quantity of those ADSx and ADTx drive features installed in the FS7300 control enclosure, so the enclosure itself is the place where the count is checked.
Customer setup is Yes, which makes the drive a customer-installed part. It can be installed in the plant or in the field, covering both an initial order and a later upgrade of an existing system.
