IBM feature #ESBE is a 775 GB Enterprise SAS 4k SFF-3 solid-state drive for AIX and Linux, CCIN 5B14. It is a 2.5-inch SAS SSD in a Gen3 (SFF-3) carrier with 4224-byte sectors, orderable for the Power S914, S922 and S924 (machine type 9009), the Power L922 (9008, Linux), the Power H922 and H924 (9223) and the Power E950 (9040).
CCIN 5B14 is carried by four feature codes with the same 775 GB Enterprise SAS 4k SFF-3 description: #ESBE and #ESNC for AIX and Linux, and #ESBF and #ESND for IBM i. The maximum quantity of #ESBE is 8 on the Power S922, L922, H922 and E950 and 18 on the Power S914, S924 and H924.
The SFF-3 bays are the 2.5-inch hot-plug SAS bays of the system backplane: #EJ1F and #EJ1G provide eight on the Power S922, and the 18-bay backplane #EJ1D is available for the Power S924. SFF-1 and SFF-2 drives do not fit an SFF-3 bay. FRU numbers 00LY334, 00LY604, 01LU869, 01LU932, 02YC571, 02YC681 and 02YC879 are assigned to CCIN 5B14.
