IBM feature #EM60 is an 8 GB DDR4 memory feature, CCIN 324D, and each feature represents one physical DDR4 DIMM rated at 2666 MHz and built with 4 Gb DDR4 DRAM. The DIMM is single-rank (1R). It is available for the Power S922, S914 and S924 (9009), the Power L922 (9008) and the Power AC922 (8335-GTH and 8335-GTX).
On the S922 and S924 the maximum is 32 features, and on the S914 it is 16. The L922 also takes up to 32. On the AC922 all sixteen DIMM slots must be populated, memory features cannot be mixed, and sixteen #EM60 make up the 128 GB base configuration, so the AC922 quantity is 16.
Memory upgrades on the S922, S914, S924 and L922 are made in pairs, and the base memory is two 8 GB DDR4 modules (#EM60). The DIMMs run at 2133, 2400 or 2666 Mbps depending on how the slots are populated, and size and rank must match inside each memory control unit. The 8 GB DIMM from earlier 9009-22A, 9009-41A and 9009-42A servers is not available on new orders for 9009-22G, 9009-41G and 9009-42G but is supported there after migration.
