The spare also sits under the 600GB 3G SATA 2.5in MLC SC drive record, which is option 692174-B21.
That shared spare is the key difference to check: 692174-B21 is the SmartDrive (SC) version and carries a second spare, 692319-001, described as an SFF SmartDrive carrier MLC SSD. 661142-B21 lists no carrier in its option name.
Fit check: compare the carrier on the drive you are replacing. In a DL160 Gen8 this option matches HPE's records; for a SmartDrive bay in a DL360p Gen8, look at 692174-B21. The same capacity at 6Gb/s is 739904-B21.
