GKWHP is a Dell 8TB 7.2K NL-SAS 3.5-inch hard drive. Dell pairs DPN GKWHP with Seagate model ST8000NM0075. It is an 8TB, 7.2K, 512e drive that is not self-encrypting, and it is used in the Dell EMC PowerVault MD12XX Enclosure, the Dell Storage MD14xx Enclosure, the Dell EMC PowerVault MD32XX/36XX Series and the Dell EMC PowerVault MD34XX/38XX Series.
ST8000NM0075 is the base 8TB 512e SAS model of the Exos 7E8, built on conventional magnetic recording. It has a 12Gb/s SAS interface that also runs at 6.0 and 3.0 Gb/s, dual ports, a 7200 rpm spindle and a 256 MB multisegmented cache. Bytes per sector are 512, 520 and 528, and the drive supports Protection Information (T10 DIF). Maximum sustained transfer speed is 249 MB/s and average latency is 4.16 ms.
The drive has a 2,000,000 hour MTBF and a 0.44 % AFR, with workloads up to 550 TB per year. Idle power is 8.5 W and average operating power is 12 W. It measures at most 1.028 in (26.11 mm) high, 4.010 in (101.85 mm) wide and 5.787 in (147.0 mm) deep and weighs 780 g (1.72 lb). Separate self-encrypting versions carry the model numbers ST8000NM0085 (Seagate Secure) and ST8000NM0135 (SED-FIPS).
