RMCP3 is the Dell part number for a 1.2TB 2.5 inch SAS hard drive on Seagate model ST1200MM0007, the standard 1200GB model of the Enterprise Performance 10K HDD v7 family. Dell supports it in the Dell EMC PowerVault MD12XX Enclosure, the Dell Storage MD14xx Enclosure, the Dell EMC PowerVault MD32XX/36XX Series and the Dell EMC PowerVault MD34XX/38XX Series, and in the MD14xx enclosure Dell classes it as a 512n drive.
Eight read/write heads serve a 10K rpm spindle with 2.9 ms average rotational latency and a 64MB buffer. The dual-port SAS interface runs at 1.5, 3 or 6 Gb/s with a 600 MB/s maximum instantaneous rate per port. Sustained transfer is 119 to 195 MiB/s, and logical blocks of 512 (default), 520, 524 or 528 bytes can be set.
MTBF is 2,000,000 hours with a 0.44 percent annualized failure rate, and unrecovered data errors stay below 1 sector in 10^16 bits transferred. The drive weighs 0.2042 kg and meets its operating specifications over a 5 to 55 C case temperature range. Other 1.2TB 10K SAS drives are the Seagate G2G54 and the Western Digital T6TWN.
