- Specifications
4XB7A13624 (feature code B96X) is the ThinkSystem 2.5-inch Intel S4510 7.68TB Entry SATA 6Gb Hot Swap SSD, the largest of the 2.5-inch S4510 drives. It uses Intel 3D NAND TLC flash behind a 6 Gbps SATA interface, in a hot-swap tray around a drive that measures 7 mm by 70 mm by 100 mm.
Endurance at this capacity is 1.9 drive writes per day, or 26.2 PB written over the drive life. At 4 KB it reaches 89,500 random read IOPS and 21,000 random write IOPS; at 128 KB sequential reads run at 550 MBps and writes at 510 MBps. Latency is 35 µs for sequential reads and 40 µs for sequential writes, 102 µs for random reads and 79 µs for random writes. Typical active write power averages 4.6 W.
End-to-end data path protection, enhanced power-loss data protection, thermal throttling to extend drive life and S.M.A.R.T. reporting are part of the design. Operating shock tolerance is 1,000 G for 0.5 ms and operating vibration tolerance is 2.17 G RMS from 5 to 700 Hz.
ThinkSystem servers supported with this drive are the SR630 V2, SR650 V2, SR670 V2, SR850 V2 and SR860 V2. Lenovo has withdrawn the S4510 drives from marketing. The 3.5-inch 7.68TB drive in the family is 4XB7A13630 (B96N), and the 2.5-inch 3.84TB drive is 4XB7A13623 (B49C).
