Cisco Catalyst 6880-X-LE Extensible Fixed Aggregation Switch

C6880-X-LE is the lower-scale Catalyst 6880-X-LE extensible fixed aggregation switch. The base module has 16 fixed ports that take 10 Gigabit SFP+, 1 Gigabit SFP or 100BASE-FX SFP modules, and four half-wide slots (numbered 1 to 4) accept hot-swappable port cards, each adding 16 more ports. Cisco gives a ceiling of up to 80 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports per chassis.

Cisco rates the chassis at up to 2 Tbps of switching capacity, or up to 4 Tbps in a VSS pair, with up to 300 Mpps for IPv4 routing and Layer 2 bridging and up to 150 Mpps for IPv6 routing. Hardware table scale is 256K IPv4 and 128K IPv6 routes, 64K ACL entries, 128K MAC entries and 512K NetFlow entries per slot (up to 2.5M per system). The full Catalyst 6880-X carries 2,048K IPv4 routes and 1,024K IPv6 routes.

Two power supply slots take 3000 W AC or DC supplies in any combination (C6880-X-3KW-AC and C6880-X-3KW-DC), for 100 to 240 VAC or -48 to -60 VDC input, and two supplies give 1+1 redundancy. A fan tray with four variable-speed fans cools the chassis. It measures 8.75 x 17.35 x 23 in (4.85 RU) and weighs 64 lb (29.03 kg) with two power supplies and the fan tray. Software support starts at 15.1(2)SY1, with IP Services and Advanced Enterprise Services licences.

Cisco announced end-of-sale on October 31, 2019; the end-of-sale date is October 30, 2020 and the last date of support is October 31, 2025.
