HPE's ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus QuickSpecs list P14587-B21 as the HPE DL38X Gen10 Plus x8/x16/x8 Secondary Riser Kit. It fills the secondary riser position and adds PCIe slots 4, 5 and 6, all PCIe 4.0: slot 4 is x8 electrical in a x16 connector, full-height full-length; slot 5 is a full x16, full-height full-length; slot 6 is x8 electrical in a x16 connector, full-height half-length.
The secondary riser connects to processor 2, so HPE requires a second processor for this kit. HPE also notes that x16 cards installed in the x8 slots may see reduced performance; put a 100GbE NIC, GPU or NVMe adapter that needs full bandwidth in slot 5.
PartSurfer shows what is in the kit: a 2U PCI riser cage (P24028-001, with P42325-001 also listed) and the riser board P24048-001, described as a 3 x16 tri-mode riser.
Siblings for the same position: P14589-B21 (two x16 slots, slots 1/2) and P14590-B21 (two x16 slots, slots 2/3) trade the third slot for full x16 lanes, and P27089-B21, P35416-B21 and P35417-B21 are SlimSAS secondary risers that carry NVMe drive connections instead of card slots. The primary riser shipped by default has the same x8/x16/x8 layout; P37038-B21 is the matching primary FIO kit.
DL38X covers the 2U DL380 and DL385 Gen10 Plus. To confirm fit, check that the server is a DL380 or DL385 Gen10 Plus with two processors installed, and that the secondary position is empty or holds a riser you are replacing.
