HPE PartSurfer lists P31231-001 as 'System I/O W/SUBP Enhance': the system I/O board (the motherboard) supplied mounted on its subpan, the metal tray that carries the board in the chassis. PartSurfer lists it in 123 configurations, almost all ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus servers: 4LFF, 8SFF and 10-drive NVMe configure-to-order models, pre-configured builds with Xeon Silver 4309Y, 4310, 4314 and Gold 5315Y or 6330N processors, and remanufactured units.
That makes it the board to match when a DL360 Gen10 Plus needs a system board replacement. PartSurfer lists separate system boards for other DL360 generations, so a Gen10 Plus board should not be assumed to fit a Gen10 or Gen11 chassis.
Supplying the board on its subpan means the replacement drops into the chassis as one piece; processors, heatsinks, DIMMs, risers and OCP or storage adapters move across from the failed board. The 'Enhance' in the name marks it as a revised board; PartSurfer does not describe what changed, so follow the part number HPE support or PartSurfer gives for your serial number rather than mixing board revisions.
To confirm fit, check the model on the server's pull tab or in iLO (ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus) and search the serial number in PartSurfer to see the board listed for that unit.
