IE-9320-24P4X-A is a Cisco Catalyst IE9320 rugged rack-mount switch with 28 ports: 24 10/100/1000M RJ-45 downlinks that all support PoE+ and four 1/10G SFP+ uplinks. It is stackable and carries the Network Advantage (NA) licence. The -E version carries Network Essentials instead.
Network Advantage includes everything in Network Essentials plus BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS, LISP, HSRP, BGP-EVPN over VXLAN, VRF-lite, MACsec-256 and Layer 3 NAT. Orders placed on or after August 23, 2025 include Cyber Vision Advantage for 24 endpoints on a 3-year term at no extra cost.
Power supplies are sold separately and the switch takes dual AC/DC inputs. The PoE budget depends on the supplies: 70 W with one 150 W unit, 190 W with two, 170 W with one 250 W unit, 370 W with two, 320 W with one 400 W unit and 720 W with two. The PoE standards are 802.3af, 802.3at and 802.3bt, with perpetual PoE and Fast PoE.
Two StackWise ports allow up to four members in a stack, using CAB-STK-0.5M= or CAB-STK-1M= cables. The switch has 4 GB of DRAM and 8 GB of onboard flash, plus USB 2.0, an RJ-45 and a Micro USB console, four alarm inputs and one relay output. It is fanless and weighs 9.7 lb (4.4 kg) without power supplies.
Power consumption is 39 W and the MTBF is 489,710 hours. More rugged switches are in the Cisco switches, such as the IE-4010-4S24P.
