Cisco Industrial Ethernet 4010 Switch, 24 PoE/PoE+ Ports and 4 SFP Uplinks

IE-4010-4S24P is a 28-port Cisco Industrial Ethernet 4010 Series switch: 24 copper 10/100/1000 PoE/PoE+ ports and 4 SFP FE/GE uplinks, with no SFP fiber access ports. It is a 1RU rack-mount, fanless, convection-cooled switch.

Cisco gives 28 Gbps of non-blocking forwarding bandwidth, 56 Gbps of switching bandwidth and a forwarding rate of 41.67 Mpps at 64-byte packets. The switch holds 16,000 unicast MAC addresses, 1,000 VLANs and 1,000 IGMP multicast entries, with four egress queues. Memory is 1 GB of DRAM and 128 MB of onboard flash, plus a 1 GB removable SD flash card. It ships with the LAN Base feature set and moves to IP Services with the L-IE4000-RTU= licence.

The PoE budget depends on the supply fitted: 80 W with one PWR-RGD-AC-DC-H (150 W), 200 W with two, 180 W with one PWR-RGD-AC-DC-250 (250 W), 285 W with a 250 W and a 150 W supply, and 385 W with two 250 W supplies. PWR-RGD-LOW-DC-H is the 150 W supply for 24 to 60 VDC input. Maximum power draw excluding PoE is 70 W.

Cisco announced end-of-sale on September 15, 2025; the end-of-sale date is July 31, 2026 and the last date of support is July 31, 2031. Cisco lists the IE-9320-24P4S-A and IE-9320-24P4S-E, each with 24 PoE+ downlinks, 4 GE uplinks and 385 W, as replacements.

The chassis weighs 12.1 lb (5.46 kg) without a power supply and measures 1.75 x 17.5 x 14.0 in (4.45 x 44.5 x 35.6 cm) with the H or LOW-DC-H supplies. Operating temperature is -40 to +75 C and MTBF is 429,620 hours. Its sibling IE-4010-16S12P has 12 SFP fiber ports and 12 PoE/PoE+ copper ports.
