WS-SUP720-3B is the Catalyst 6500/Cisco 7600 Supervisor 720 with integrated switch fabric, MSFC3 and PFC3B. The PFC3B is a separate, field-upgradeable card, ordered as WS-F6K-PFC3B.
Cisco rates IPv4 routing in hardware at up to 400 Mpps, which requires DFC3 cards, with IPv6 routing at up to 200 Mpps and Layer 2 bridging at up to 400 Mpps. Tables hold 256,000 IPv4 routes, 128,000 IPv6 routes, 64,000 MAC entries and 128,000 NetFlow entries.
The route processor has 512 MB of DRAM and the switch processor has 512 MB, upgradeable to 1 GB. The route processor boot flash is 64 MB. Two Gigabit uplinks are provided: one SFP port and one port selectable between SFP and 10/100/1000 RJ-45.
Chassis support covers the Catalyst 6503, 6503-E, 6506, 6506-E, 6509, 6509-E, 6509-NEB, 6509-NEB-A and 6513, and the Cisco 7603, 7606, OSR-7609, 7609 and 7613.
