CWDM-SFP-1490 is the violet 1490 nm module in the Cisco CWDM SFP range. It carries Gigabit Ethernet at 1.25 Gbps and 1 and 2 Gb Fibre Channel at 1.06 and 2.12 Gbps, full duplex, over single-mode fiber, and it is compatible with IEEE 802.3z (1000BASE-X).
The host side is a standard SFP interface and the network side is dual LC/PC; APC connectors are not supported. Cisco gives the CWDM SFP range an average transmit power of 0 to 5.0 dBm into single-mode fiber and a receive power of -29.0 to -7.0 dBm at 1.25 Gbps and -28.0 to -7.0 dBm at 2.12 Gbps. The optical link budget is 29 dB for Gigabit Ethernet and 28 dB for Fibre Channel, with a dispersion penalty at 100 km of up to 2 dB at 1.25 Gbps or 3 dB at 2.12 Gbps.
Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C and storage is -40 to 85 C. The spare is CWDM-SFP-1490=.
