WS-SUP32-10GE-3B is the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series
Cisco 7600 Series Supervisor Engine 32 with 2 ports 10 Gigabit Ethernet, PFC3B and MSFC2A. The uplinks are two XENPAK-based 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports plus one 10/100/1000 RJ-45 management port. Each 10GE port has a 100 MB buffer, with Tx 1p3q8t and Rx 2q8t queue structures and DWRR or SRR scheduling.
The PFC3B handles hardware Layer 2-4 forwarding, packet classification, traffic management and policy enforcement, and Cisco says it delivers the same features and services as the Supervisor Engine 720. The MSFC2A carries the Layer 3 control plane, such as address resolution and routing protocols, with Layer 3 support needing a layer 3 licence.
Cisco gives the Supervisor Engine 32 up to 15 Mpps of IPv4 services forwarding, rising to 30 Mpps with a switch fabric module and up to 210 Mpps with a switch fabric module and DFCs, over a 32 Gbps shared bus. Memory is 512 MB of SP DRAM, upgradeable to 1 GB, 2 MB of SP NVRAM and 256 MB of onboard flash, upgradeable to 512 MB or 1 GB. Removable storage is compact flash type II plus USB.
It is supported in all Catalyst 6500 Series chassis with fan tray 2 or the E-Series fan tray and 2500 W power supplies or above, and in the Cisco 7604, 7606, 7609 and 7613 with the high-speed fan tray.
A 6500 line card in the Cisco modules is the WS-X6748-GE-TX 48-port 10/100/1000 module.
