CAB-SPWR-30CM is the 0.3 meter Catalyst 3750-X StackPower cable. StackPower lets switches share their power supplies, and this cable carries the connection from one switch to the next. Cisco supplies this short length when no length is specified.
The StackPower cable is for use only with Catalyst 3750-X switches. The Catalyst 3560-X does not use it: that switch connects to an XPS 2200 with CAB-XPS-58CM or CAB-XPS-150CM instead.
Both ends are keyed and colour-coded, as are the matching connectors on the switch. The end with a green stripe goes to the first switch. The end with a yellow stripe goes to another Catalyst 3750-X for power sharing, or to an XPS 2200 power supply for redundancy. A switch power stack in a ring can include a maximum of four switches.
For a longer run, the 1.5 meter version is the CAB-SPWR-150CM, and switches that use these cables are in Cisco switches.
