The IBM 9009-41G is the Power System S914, a one-socket POWER9 server with up to eight activated cores. The 4-core and 6-core versions come as a 19-inch 4U rack-mount or as a tower, and the 8-core version, with a typical 2.8-3.8 GHz POWER9 processor, is available only in a rack. The 4-core and 6-core processors run at a typical 2.3-3.8 GHz.

Memory is 16 DDR4 ECC RDIMM slots taking 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB modules at 2133, 2400 and 2666 Mbps, for up to 1 TB. The 4-core processor, feature EP50, limits the system to 64 GB: two or four 16 GB modules (feature EM62) or two 32 GB modules (feature EM63). Active Memory Expansion is available, but not for IBM i and Linux.

Storage backplane choices are feature EJ1C (twelve SFF-3 bays, with an optional split card EJ1E), EJ1D (eighteen SFF-3 bays with dual IOA and write cache), EJ1E (twelve SFF-3 bays with RDX bays), EJ1M (twelve SFF-3 bays, an RDX bay and two external SAS ports), EJ1S (six SFF-3 bays and two NVMe U.2 drives), EJ1T (two NVMe U.2 slots) and EJ1U (four NVMe U.2 slots).

PCIe slots with the single processor are three x16 Gen 4 full-height half-length slots, one x8 Gen 4 slot with an x16 connector, and four more x8 Gen 4 slots, one of which takes the required base LAN adapter. Integrated ports are one front USB 3.0, two rear USB 3.0, two HMC 1 GbE RJ45 and one RJ45 system port. The rack model is 173.3 mm high, 482 mm wide and 769.6 mm deep and weighs 36.3 kg, while the tower is 486.1 mm high, 182.4 mm wide and 751.7 mm deep and weighs 46.94 kg. Power comes from a 900 W supply at 100-127 or 200-240 V AC, or a 1400 W supply at 200-240 V AC, to a maximum of 1600 W. IBM made the 9009-41G generally available on 24 July 2020 and withdrew it from marketing on 9 May 2023.
