IBM feature #EL1H is the 32GB Memory-PowerLinux feature, a 32 GB 1066 MHz memory option for the IBM PowerLinux 7R1, model 8246-L1C. It can be ordered on the initial order or as an MES upgrade, in a quantity from 0 to 4, and each memory feature consumes two memory DIMM sockets.
A PowerLinux 7R1 needs at least 32 GB of memory, ordered as 4 x #EL15, 2 x #EL16 or 1 x #EL17. When more than 32 GB is wanted, the optional memory features #EL1F (8 GB), #EL1G (16 GB) and #EL1H (32 GB) can be added. The base machine contains one nonfeatured memory riser card with four DIMM sockets, and one optional memory riser card feature (#EL0A on initial orders, #EL0K on MES orders) adds four more sockets.
Maximum system memory is 64 GB without the optional riser card feature and 128 GB with one. At least one memory feature must be plugged into each memory riser card, empty riser cards are not allowed, and the second memory feature on a riser card does not have to match the first.
