IBM feature #EM97 is a 32 GB CDIMM, 1600 MHz DDR4 DRAM memory module with CCIN 31ED and FRU 00VK291. It is supported on the Power S812L (8247-21L), the Power S822L (8247-22L), the Power S822 (8284-22A) and the 8284-21A.
On these servers each feature code equates to a single physical CDIMM, all memory features are ordered in pairs, all CDIMMs are installed in pairs and both CDIMMs in a pair have the same capacity. DDR4 memory operates at DDR3 speed. The Power S822 and S822L require at least 32 GB, starting from two 16 GB modules, and each takes up to 16 of #EM97. The S812L starts at 16 GB of memory and tops out at 512 GB.
Companion sizes in the same DDR4 family are the 16 GB #EM96 and the 64 GB #EM98. The S822 reaches 1024 GB with sixteen 64 GB CDIMMs when both processor modules are installed.
