Lenovo part 41Y8366 is the S3700 200GB SATA 1.8" MLC Enterprise SSD, feature code A4FS. It holds 200GB in a 1.8-inch form factor, supplied without a drive tray; Lenovo notes it can be hot-swap or non-hot-swap depending on the server.
The S3700 Enterprise drives use Intel 25 nm MLC NAND with High Endurance Technology (HET), which Lenovo describes as NAND silicon enhancements plus SSD NAND management that extend write endurance. Other listed features: 6 Gbps SATA, AES 256-bit encryption, full end-to-end data path protection, enhanced power loss data protection and 6 W typical power.
The specification table rates 41Y8366 at 3.65 PB written over a five-year life, 75,000 read and 29,000 write IOPS, 500 MBps sequential read and 365 MBps sequential write, with 6 W typical power.
The difference from Enterprise Value drives is endurance: Lenovo says an S3700 can be fully rewritten up to ten times per day across a five-year life, while an Enterprise Value SSD sustains about 0.4 full writes per day for the same life.
Server support in the Lenovo guide: the x3650 M4 and x3650 M4 HD, the x3750 M4 (8722, 8752 and 8753), the x3690 X5, the x3850 X5/x3950 X5 and x3850 X6/x3950 X6, and Flex System HX5, x220, x240 and x440. Lenovo's Configuration and Options Guide of 17 January 2017 also lists it for the x3750 M4 (8753), marked with an asterisk as withdrawn.
Fit check: 41Y8366 needs a 1.8-inch SSD or eXFlash bay in a listed server; check feature code A4FS on configuration records. Neighbouring options are 41Y8371 and 00AJ480.
