A 3 m (9.84 ft) QSFP+ to QSFP+ direct attach copper cable for 40GbE links, with a transceiver permanently fitted at each end. It sits in the middle of the BladeSystem c-Class 40G copper lengths, between the 1 m and 5 m cables. The Virtual Connect FlexFabric-20/40 F8 module for c-Class BladeSystem supports this cable as one of its QSFP+ copper options.
Weight with both transceivers is 0.57 lb. Each end draws 0.042 W at most, and the cable measures 0.255 in across with a 1.78 in minimum bend radius.
Electrical properties are 100 ohm impedance, 26 dB maximum crosstalk between pairs, 1.35 nsec per foot of delay and a 10-15 bit error rate ceiling.
