ASR-9006-AC-V2 is the Cisco ASR 9006 chassis with the version 2 AC power system; the DC counterpart is ASR-9006-DC-V2. The chassis has four line-card slots and two slots for redundant route switch processors (RSPs), which carry the switch fabric. Line cards and RSPs sit horizontally.
It is a 10 RU chassis, 17.50 in (444.5 mm) high, 17.38 in (441.45 mm) wide and 29.05 in (737.9 mm) deep, with or without doors. Cisco gives the weight as 89.55 lb (40.7 kg) for the chassis with a power module and 150 lb (65.91 kg) fully loaded, not counting line cards and power modules. It fits Telco, EIA and ETSI racks.
Power is a single tray of AC power modules: the 3 kW AC module (PWR-3KW-AC-V2, with the ASR9K-AC-PEM-V2 module) on worldwide-ranging 200 to 240 V AC input at 50 to 60 Hz and 16 A maximum. AC redundancy is N+N, and AC and DC modules cannot be mixed. Cisco lists no power zone restrictions. Cooling comes from field-replaceable fan trays managed by two fan tray controllers.
The A9K-MOD400-SE modular line card is supported in the ASR 9006, up to four per system. Other ASR line cards are in Cisco modules and more routers in Cisco routers, such as the ASR 9001.
