Brocade G620 24-Port 32Gb Fibre Channel Switch

Broadcom names BR-G620-24-32G-R as a recommended alternative for the 24-port Brocade 6510 models BR-6510-24-16G-R and BR-6510-24-8G-R; its -F counterpart, BR-G620-24-32G-F, replaces the matching -F models. The G620 scales from 24 to 64 ports with Ports on Demand.

The G620 is a 1U Gen 6 Fibre Channel switch with 48 SFP+ ports and four Q-Flex ports, each Q-Flex port carrying four 32G connections, for up to 64 device ports and 2Tb/s aggregate throughput. Broadcom quotes up to 100 million IOPS, 566 million frames switched per second and port-to-port latency under 780 ns with FEC.

ISLs combine into trunks of up to eight links for 256G, either through eight SFP+ ports or two 4x32G QSFP ports. Q-Flex ports support 4x32G and 4x16G QSFPs, with breakout cable support. The switch is NVMe-ready and includes Fabric Vision with IO Insight and VM Insight.

Power comes from two hot-swappable supplies (90V to 264V AC), with a maximum of 205W fully populated and 85W empty. The chassis measures 440 x 43.9 x 355.6 mm and weighs 7.07 kg with supplies and fans, without transceivers.
