The Nexus 9364C is a 2RU fixed spine switch with 64 x 40/100G QSFP28 ports and 2 x 1/10G SFP+ ports, rated at 12.84 Tbps and 4.3 bpps. It runs in Cisco ACI spine mode or standalone NX-OS mode. Breakout cables are not supported, and the last 16 ports support wire-rate MACsec.
Hardware includes a 4-core Broadwell-DE CPU, 32 GB of system memory, a 128 GB SSD and a 40 MB buffer. Power supply options are 1200 W AC, 930 W DC and 1200 W HVAC/HVDC, with hot-swappable dual fan trays in port-side intake or exhaust versions; airflow on the supplies and fans must match. Cisco notes that at 100-120 V AC the 1200 W supply delivers 800 W and PSU redundancy is not supported. Typical power is 429 W and maximum 1245 W (AC).
The chassis measures 3.38 x 17.37 x 22.27 in, weighs 36.9 lb with supplies and fans, and operates from 0 to 40°C. Cisco's rated MTBF is 257,860 hours. The 1RU N9K-C9332C is the 32-port sibling.
Lifecycle: Cisco's last order date was January 30, 2024; software maintenance ended January 29, 2025, and the last date of support is January 31, 2029. Cisco names the N9K-C9364C-GX, a 64-port 40/100G leaf/spine switch, as the replacement. The Cisco spare PID N9K-C9364C= ships without accessory kit, power supplies or fans, so a used unit should be checked for those parts.
