IBM #AGKN is a drive feature for the IBM TS4300 tape library, machine type 3555, Models L3A and E3A. It contains one IBM LTO Ultrium 8 Half-High SAS Tape Drive with a dual port 6 Gbps interface, and it installs into the library.
Cables are separate parts and are required to attach the library to a host SAS adapter. There is no minimum number of #AGKN features. The maximum is either one full-high drive (#AGKH, #AGKL or #AGKP) together with one half-high drive (#AGKF, #AGKG, #AGKJ, #AGKK, #AGKM or #AGKN), or three half-high drives in any combination of those half-high features, in a Model L3A and E3A.
If #AGKN is the first LTO 6 half-high (#AGKG), LTO 7 half-high (#AGKK) or LTO 8 half-high drive ordered for a library, one feature #1412 is required for that library. The drive is removable.
On the initial plant order, at least one Fibre Channel cable, or the No SAN Cable feature #9700, must be specified, and FC1899 is required on the E3A model. When feature ACW1 or ADNR is on the order, the maximum quantity allowed is 99 and the prerequisite features are not applicable. Installation is in the plant or in the field.
