Dell PowerEdge MX750c Single-Width Modular Compute Sled

The Dell PowerEdge MX750c (MX750C) is a single-width modular compute sled for the PowerEdge MX7000 chassis, which holds up to eight MX750c sleds. Each sled takes up to two 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 40 cores per processor, on the Intel C620 series chipset with optional Intel QuickAssist Technology.

Memory is 32 DDR4 DIMM slots at up to 3200 MT/s, up to 2 TB with RDIMMs or 4 TB with LRDIMMs, and registered ECC DIMMs only. Up to 16 slots take Intel Persistent Memory 200 series modules, for a maximum of 7.68 TB of persistent memory per sled.

Storage is 2.5-inch SAS, SATA or NVMe drives of up to 7.68 TB each. Internal controllers are PERC H755 MX, PERC H745P MX, HBA350i MX and S150; the external options are PERC H745P MX and HBA330 MMZ. Boot choices are BOSS-S1 (two M.2 SSDs of 240 GB or 480 GB), the Internal Dual SD Module or USB.

PCIe Gen4 connections are x16 slots for Mezzanine A, Mezzanine B, a mini mezzanine and the PERC, plus x8 connectors for the NVMe drives. Fabric A and B carry up to 25 Gb CNA or NIC ports per port, and Fabric C carries 32 Gb Fibre Channel or 12 Gbps SAS. Front ports are one iDRAC Direct micro-USB port and one USB 3.0, with one internal USB 3.0.

The sled is 42.15 mm (1.65 in) high, 250.2 mm (9.85 in) wide and 594.99 mm (23.42 in) deep. Management is iDRAC9, iDRAC Direct and the iDRAC Service Module on the sled, and OpenManage Enterprise Modular Edition on the MX7000 chassis, which holds up to six 3000 W AC Platinum power supplies and has 5 rear and 4 front-accessible hot-swap fans.
