NIM-2GE-CU-SFP is the Cisco 2-port Gigabit Ethernet, dual-mode GE/SFP network interface module, a NIM for the Cisco 4000 Series integrated services routers. Each port can run as copper or take an SFP.
Cisco lists it for the ISR 4321, 4331, 4351, 4431, 4451 and 4461. It can also go into the enhanced SM-X slot with an adaptor card. It supports hot OIR, auto-switchover and auto-failover, and 256-bit MACsec (IEEE 802.1AE), which needs Cisco IOS XE 3.16 or later. The ports are routed Layer 3 ports, Layer 2 switching between ports is not supported, and PoE is not supported.
The module measures 1.25 x 3.50 x 7.24 in (32 x 89 x 184 mm), weighs 252 grams and operates at 32 to 104 F (0 to 40 C). Its LEDs show EN, L and S (speed): one blink for 10 Mbps, two for 100 Mbps and three for 1 Gbps.
The single-port NIM-1GE-CU-SFP supports all Cisco 4000 Series ISRs, has no MACsec, and weighs 240 grams in the same dimensions.
