HPE P26324-B21 MR216i-p Gen10 Plus x16 Lanes without Cache NVMe/SAS 12G Controller

P26324-B21 is the HPE MR216i-p Gen10 Plus controller, which HPE's DL360 Gen10 QuickSpecs call the Broadcom MegaRAID MR216i-p x16 Lanes without Cache NVMe/SAS 12G Controller for HPE Gen10 Plus. Its name sets out the main traits: 16 lanes, no cache, and support for both NVMe and 12G SAS drives. PartSurfer lists the spare as P28336-001. The DL360 Gen10 QuickSpecs place it among the Performance RAID controllers, next to the MR216i-a (P26325-B21) and the cached MR416i-p (P06367-B21) and MR416i-a (P26279-B21). In the DL380 Gen10 QuickSpecs, HPE adds a restriction: on that server the controller is supported with the 8SFF Basic Carrier Model-X only and supports SAS/SATA drives only. The same section lists the drive cages that are supported with Broadcom controllers, such as the P57772-B21 2SFF riser kit. Because HPE ties support to specific cages and carriers, the server model and drive cage matter as much as the slot. To confirm fit, check the server generation, the drive cage kit and whether NVMe or SAS/SATA drives are planned.
