ST2000NX0253 is the 2TB 512E standard model of the Seagate Exos 7E2000 v3 SATA family, a 2.5-inch enterprise drive that weighs only 198 g (0.437 lb). It formats with 512-byte logical sectors and has no drive-based encryption.
Ten heads work across five discs. The spindle turns at 7200 RPM, the cache buffer is 128MB, average latency is 4.16 ms, and the sustained transfer rate at the outer diameter is 130 MiB/s (136 MB/s). The SATA interface carries up to 600MB/s and the internal data rate peaks at 2160 Mb/s.
Native Command Queuing with command ordering, PowerChoice power savings, S.M.A.R.T. reporting and Worldwide Name identification are supported, along with latching SATA connectors. At 512 bytes per sector the drive has 3,907,029,168 guaranteed sectors.
