X2-10GB-LRM is Cisco's 10GBASE-LRM X2 module for multimode fibre. It supports link lengths of 220 m on standard FDDI-grade multimode fibre. By fibre type, 62.5 um MMF at 500 MHz-km and 50 um MMF at 500 MHz-km reach 220 m, 50 um MMF at 400 MHz-km reaches 100 m, and G.652 single-mode fibre reaches 300 m.
The wavelength is 1310 nm, with a 1260 to 1355 nm transmit and receive range. The connector is dual SC/PC, and APC connectors are not supported. The standard is IEEE 802.3aq with a 0.5 m minimum cable distance. Transmit power is -6.5 to +0.5 dBm and average receive power is -8.4 to +0.5 dBm.
On OM1 and OM2 fibre the transmitter needs a mode-conditioning patch cord: CAB-GELX-625= for 62.5 um and CAB-MCP50-SC= for 50 um. OM3 fibre does not need one. Operating temperature is 0 to 70 C and storage is -40 to 85 C. X2 is an older 10G form factor, so confirm the host line card or switch has X2 cages.
The short-reach multimode version is the X2-10GB-SR, and more are in the Cisco modules range.
