This direct attach copper cable joins two 40GbE QSFP+ ports over a distance of 1 m (3.28 ft), with a QSFP+ transceiver fixed to each end. It is the shortest of the three QSFP+ to QSFP+ lengths in the HPE BladeSystem c-Class 40G range, which continues with 3 m and 5 m cables.
A fully assembled cable weighs 0.29 lb. Each transceiver end draws 0.042 W at most. The cable diameter is 0.255 in and the minimum bend radius is 1.78 in.
Signal figures: 100 ohm characteristic impedance, crosstalk between pairs of 26 dB maximum, a time delay of 1.35 nsec per foot and a bit error rate of 10-15 at worst.
