This optional 4-port NVMe mezzanine card for the DL560 Gen10 belongs to the HPE Misc parts and adds NVMe drive connectivity to that server. It supports a maximum of 8 NVMe drives. The card is built for the DL5x0 Gen10 generation of four-socket ProLiant platforms and connects through Slimline cabling.
Installation does not consume a PCIe slot, because the card goes on top of the CPU mezzanine board kit used in the DL5x0 Gen10 family. A four-processor configuration is required before the card can be installed.
The upper CPU mezzanine tray in the same chassis also carries DDR4 DIMM slots and UPI connectors for the extra processors, and the card sits above that board kit in the four-processor build.
Each of its four ports is an x8 NVMe connection in Slimline form factor, and the ports are tied to processor 3. On the DL560 Gen10 upper CPU mezzanine tray, the left connector is the one used for this card.
