ICX7400-4X10GF is the Ruckus ICX 7450 four-port 1/10 GbE SFP/SFP+ module for stacking or uplinks. It is one of five optional ICX 7450 modules, alongside the 4-port 100 Mbps/1 GbE SFP ICX7400-4X1GF, the 4-port 10GBASE-T ICX7400-4X10GC, the 1-port 40 GbE QSFP+ ICX7400-1X40GQ and the ICX7400-SERVICE-MOD IPsec VPN service module.
Every ICX 7450 switch has three modular slots, one at the front and two at the back, and the modules are interchangeable between them. Filling all three with this module gives a switch up to 12 SFP/SFP+ ports at 1/10 GbE, and Ruckus rates the 24-port and 48-port ICX 7450 models at 288 Gbps and 336 Gbps of switching capacity.
Stacking on the ICX 7450 needs 10 GbE SFP+ or 40 GbE QSFP+ modules, and at most four 10 GbE SFP+ ports or two 40 GbE QSFP+ ports can serve as stacking ports. A stack takes up to 12 switches with 960 Gbps of aggregated stacking bandwidth, and standard optics or cables allow up to 10 km between stacked switches.
Ruckus positions the modular design as a way to begin with 1 GbE or 10 GbE uplinks and move to 40 GbE later by fitting a new module. The same switches are offered as a data center top-of-rack option for mixed 1 GbE and 10 GbE servers, with 10 GbE or 40 GbE uplinks to aggregation.
Modules are ordered separately from the switch, its power supplies and its fans. More Brocade-branded and Ruckus ICX parts are with the Brocade and Ruckus ICX parts.
