The J9022A is the HP ProCurve Switch 2810-48G, a 1U managed gigabit switch. It has 44 autosensing 10/100/1000 ports plus four dual-personality ports, each of which works either as an RJ-45 10/100/1000 port or as an open mini-GBIC (SFP) slot. HP rates it at 96 Gbps switching capacity and up to 71.4 million packets per second, in a chassis 12.7 in deep, 17.4 in wide and 1.7 in high.
Management is by CLI, web browser or HP PCM/PCM+, with dual flash images and multiple configuration files. The 2810 series supports single-IP-address management of a virtual stack of up to 16 switches.
HP announced end of sale for the 2810 series on December 4, 2012, with a last order date of May 31, 2013 and a last ship date of August 31, 2013. The notice names the J9775A, the HP 2530-48G Switch, as the replacement for the J9022A.
The nearest sibling is the J9021A 2810-24G, which has 20 autosensing gigabit ports plus the same four dual-personality ports, 48 Gbps of switching capacity and up to 35.7 million packets per second.
