HPE's FlexFabric 5900 product reference lists the JC772A as the HPE FlexFabric 5900AF-48XG-4QSFP+ Switch, with 48 fixed 1000/10000 SFP+ ports, four QSFP+ 40 GbE ports, an RJ-45 serial console, an RJ-45 out-of-band management port and a USB 2.0 port.
Memory is 512 MB flash and 2 GB SDRAM with a 9 MB packet buffer. HPE rates routing/switching capacity at 1280 Gb/s and throughput at 952 million pps, with 10 Gb/s latency under 1.5 µs, 128000 MAC entries and 16000 IPv4 / 8000 IPv6 routes.
There are two power supply slots and two fan tray slots. HPE states that at least one power supply is required and is ordered separately, that fan trays are also ordered separately, and that the system needs two fan trays with the same airflow direction. PartSurfer lists the JC680A 650 W AC and JC681A 650 W DC supplies, the 5185-8676 blank filler, and fan trays JC682A (back-to-front) and JC683A (front-to-back). The same record lists X240 SFP+ and QSFP+ DAC cables, including the JG329A and JG330A QSFP+ to 4x10G SFP+ breakout cables.
Fit check: order two matching fan trays and at least one PSU with the switch. SFP+ optics such as J9150D and DACs like J9281D are on site; the copper-port sibling is the JG510A. See the HPE Aruba and ProCurve switches page.
