IBM feature #AH23 is a 1.6 TB 12 Gbps SAS 2.5-inch tier 0 flash drive for the IBM SAN Volume Controller, machine types 2145 and 2147. It requires software level 7.3.0 or later and goes into the 2145-24F or 2147-24F SAS expansion enclosure, which is the expansion model required for 2.5-inch SAS drives and holds up to 24 of them.
The 24F attaches through the 4-port 12 Gbps SAS adapter, feature #AH13, which is required for 24F attachment and also needs software level 7.3.0. The enclosure count depends on the software level: up to two enclosures with 7.3.0, up to two enclosures in any mix of 12F and 24F with 7.7.0, and up to 20 enclosures with 7.7.1. The 2145-24F and 2147-24F are both 2U enclosures for up to 24 2.5-inch SAS drives.
The 1.6 TB tier 0 flash drive is FRU 00RX914 in the 2145-24F expansion enclosure parts. It sits beside the other tier 0 flash drives in the same enclosure: the 200 GB #AH20, the 400 GB #AH21, the 800 GB #AH22 and the 3.2 TB #AH24, which needs software level 7.4.0.
