IBM feature #AHHJ is a 7.68 TB 12 Gb SAS 2.5-inch flash drive for the IBM FlashSystem 7200 (machine type 2076) and the IBM FlashSystem 7300 (machine type 4657). It is supported on the SFF expansion enclosure Model 24G only, with a maximum of 24 per enclosure. The FlashSystem 7000 SFF Expansion Enclosure Model 24G offers drive options with SSD flash and SAS drives in a 2U 19-inch rack-mount enclosure with two expansion canisters, 12 Gbps SAS ports for attachment to the control enclosures and AC power supplies.
The 24G enclosure holds up to 24 small form factor 2.5-inch drives that can be formatted as RAID 5 or DRAID6. Up to 288 drives in 12 SAS 24G expansion enclosures are supported per FlashSystem 7300 control enclosure, and up to 480 drives in 20 expansion enclosures per FlashSystem 7200 controller pair. Each 24G enclosure adds a value of 1 to the SAS chain weight, and each control enclosure supports two SAS chains.
The same 12 Gb SAS 2.5-inch flash family on Model 24G includes #AHHG at 1.92 TB, #AHHH at 3.84 TB, #AHHK at 15.36 TB and #AHHL at 30.72 TB. Attachment and intermixing of Storwize V7000 expansion enclosure Models 12F, 24F and 92F with FlashSystem 7000 expansion enclosure Models 12G, 24G and 92G is not supported.
