IBM feature #AHHL is a 30.72 TB 12 Gb SAS 2.5 Inch Flash Drive for the IBM FlashSystem 7200 (machine type 2076) and the IBM FlashSystem 7300 (expansion machine type 4657). It is supported on the SFF expansion enclosure Model 24G only, with a maximum of 24 per enclosure. On the Storwize V7000 (2076), expansion Model 24F also takes this 30.72 TB 2.5-inch flash drive under feature #AHHL.
The 24G is a 2U 19-inch rack-mount enclosure with two expansion canisters, 12 Gb SAS ports for attachment to the control enclosures and AC power supplies. Its drives can be formatted as RAID 5 or DRAID 6 on the FlashSystem 7200 and as DRAID 1 or DRAID 6 on the FlashSystem 7300. The 24G offers SSD flash and SAS drive options, and its other flash drive features include 1.92 TB (#AHHG), 3.84 TB (#AHHH), 7.68 TB (#AHHJ) and 15.36 TB (#AHHK), alongside the 30.72 TB drive.
A FlashSystem 7200 control enclosure supports up to 480 drives with 24G expansions, and a FlashSystem 7300 control enclosure supports up to 288 drives in 12 24G expansions. Each 2076-24G or 4657-24G enclosure adds a value of 1 to the SAS chain weight. The FlashSystem 7200 supports a SAS chain weight of 10 per chain, and the FlashSystem 7300 supports 5 or 6 depending on code version.
