IBM #AH7N 30.72 TB 12 Gb SAS 3.5 Inch Flash Drive for 2076, 4657 and 4666

IBM feature #AH7N is a 30.72 TB 12 Gb SAS 3.5-inch flash drive for IBM FlashSystem machine types 2076, 4657 and 4666. The drive is a 2.5-inch SAS flash drive that fits the 3.5-inch carriers of the high-density expansion enclosures. On the FlashSystem 7200 (2076) and the FlashSystem 7300 (4657) it is supported on expansion Model 92G only, with a maximum of 92, and on the FlashSystem 9500 (4666) it is supported on the LFF expansion Model A9F only, again with a maximum of 92.

The 92G holds up to 92 LFF 2.5-inch drives in 3.5-inch carriers; on the 7200 they are formatted as RAID 5 or DRAID 6, and a 7200 control enclosure pair supports up to 736 drives with the 92G. On the 7300, a control enclosure takes four 92G expansions, up to 368 drives. The A9F is a 5U 19-inch rack-mount enclosure with up to 92 drives top-loaded into its drive slots, formatted as DRAID 1 or DRAID 6, and it takes redundant 200 to 240 V AC power supplies.

Each 2076-92G, 4657-92G or 4666-A9F enclosure adds 2.5 to the SAS chain weight. The 7200 supports a chain weight of 10, which allows four 92G enclosures per chain, and the 9500 supports a chain weight of 3, which allows one A9F per chain. The A9F offers its flash drives in 1.92 TB, 3.84 TB, 7.68 TB, 15.36 TB and 30.72 TB capacities.
