A9K-8HG-FLEX-TR is the Cisco ASR 9000 800G Packet Transport Combo Line Card, 5th generation (TR). The line card is built for deployments that need basic service scale; the A9K-8HG-FLEX-SE is the service edge version for enhanced service scale.
It provides 8 ports of 100G, 2 ports of 200G or 2 ports of 400G, or any combination that stays within 0.8T in total. The port mix is 6 QSFP28 ports (10G, 40G and 100G) and 2 QSFP-DD ports (10G, 40G, 100G, 200G and 400G). Throughput is 100 Gbps line rate per QSFP28 port and 400 Gbps line rate per QSFP-DD port, and two of the eight ports can be upgraded to 400GE with a per-port license.
The card is compatible with the Cisco ASR 9006, 9010, 9904, 9906, 9910, 9912 and 9922 chassis. The chassis may need updated fabric cards, RP/RSP cards and cooling systems. Support starts with Cisco IOS XR Software Release 7.1.15.
The line card weighs 21.70 lb (9.84 kg) and measures 41.4 x 395.7 x 604.5 mm.
