4XB7A17062 is the ThinkSystem 2.5" PM1645a 800GB Mainstream SAS 12Gb Hot Swap SSD, Lenovo feature code B8HU. The PM1645a is Samsung-based and is the follow-on to the PM1645, with improved random write performance. It is a mainstream server SSD suited to mixed read-write workloads, with a 12 Gbps SAS interface that supports full duplex transfer.

Endurance at 800 GB is 3 drive writes per day over 5 years, or 4,380 TB written, with an uncorrectable bit error rate below 1 in 10^17 bits read and an MTBF of 2,000,000 hours. Random 4 KB performance is 230,000 read IOPS and 90,000 write IOPS, and 128 KB sequential transfers reach 1000 MBps read and 1000 MBps write. Random latency is 120 microseconds for reads and 45 microseconds for writes, and typical power draw is 9 W reading and 9 W writing. The drive has no SED encryption.

The SAS interface complies with SAS-3, supports 16 initiators and tag command queuing with a queue depth of up to 128 commands, and the drive adds end-to-end data protection, Samsung power-loss protection and S.M.A.R.T. support.
