A99-12X100GE is the Cisco ASR 9900 12-port 100 Gigabit Ethernet line card. Cisco describes it as a card with line-rate ports in any slot, aimed at IP/MPLS and Carrier Ethernet transport and optimized for the Label Switch Router role.
It has 12 ports of 100GE that take 100G QSFP optics, and each port can be split into four 10GE channels, giving 48 10GE channels per card. Every 100GE port runs at line rate. The card uses a low-power profile, and unused slices can be placed in power-saving mode.
The card supports online insertion and removal without system impact and runs Cisco IOS XR Software. Cisco lists its dimensions as 14.5 x 1.63 x 22.02 in (368.3 x 41.4 x 559.3 mm) and its weight as about 28 lb (11.7 kg), an estimate.
Cisco sells the same card in the Flexible Consumption Model as A99-12X100GE-FC, which is a different part number.
