QDD-2X100-CWDM4-S is a Cisco QSFP-DD transceiver that carries two 100G-CWDM4 channels in a single module. Each channel uses its own duplex single-mode fiber pair on a dual duplex CS connector, and the reach is 2 km over G.652 single-mode fiber. The module is built to the 100G-CWDM4 MSA and interoperates with Cisco and third-party modules that comply with the same standards.
On the host side the interface is 2x 100G CAUI-4. Maximum power consumption is 7 W. Average transmit power per lane runs from -6.5 dBm to 2.5 dBm and average receive power per lane from -11.5 dBm to 2.5 dBm. The maximum supported insertion loss is 5 dB, and the pre-FEC bit error ratio limit is 5x10-5. The pull tab is green and the laser is Class 1.
Module operating temperature is 0 to 70 C. The housing is 8.5 mm high and 18.4 mm wide, and optical modules weigh at most 100 g. Cisco rates the QSFP-100G-SM-SR as compatible with 100G-CWDM4 links except with a 4.2 dB link margin, which matters when mixing single-channel QSFP modules with this dual-channel module.
Other Cisco optics are in Cisco interface cards and transceivers, including the QSFP-100G-SM-SR 100G CWDM4-Lite QSFP transceiver and the QDD-400G-FR4-S 400G QSFP-DD transceiver.
