C9600-LC-24C is a Catalyst 9600 line card with 24 line-rate QSFP28 ports, each running at 40GE or 100GE. It needs pluggable optics in every port, and Cisco-branded and non-Cisco transceivers are both accepted.
With a C9600-SUP-1 supervisor (1.2 Tbps full duplex, Cisco IOS XE 16.11.1 or later) the card is non-blocking for up to 24 ports of 40GE or 12 ports of 100GE. With a C9600X-SUP-2 supervisor (3.2 Tbps full duplex, Cisco IOS XE 17.7.1 or later) it is non-blocking on all 24 ports at either speed. A chassis built on SUP-1 holds up to 96 ports of 40GE or 48 ports of 100GE, and one on SUP-2 holds 96 of either. MACsec-256 runs on the UADP 3.0 ASIC but is not offered with the C9600X-SUP-2.
Maximum rated power is 200 W with SUP-1 and 280 W with SUP-2. The card weighs 3.48 kg (7.67 lb) and has a calculated MTBF of 710,750 hours.
