GLC-FE-100LX is a Cisco 100BASE-LX10 SFP built for Fast Ethernet SFP ports. It transmits at 1310 nm over single-mode fibre, reaches up to 10 km (32,810 ft) and uses a dual LC connector.
Transmit power runs from -15 dBm minimum to -8 dBm maximum, and receive power from -28 dBm minimum to -8 dBm maximum. The temperature rating of the GLC-FE-100LX is the extended range of -5 to 85 C (23 to 185 F).
It is meant for the Fast Ethernet or dual-rate Fast and Gigabit Ethernet SFP ports of Cisco switches and routers. It is a Fast Ethernet optic only, so gigabit-only and 10G ports do not take it: the C-NIM-1X 10G WAN module for the Catalyst 8300, for example, does not support the GLC-FE-100LX. Link spans run over ordinary single-mode fibre.
